Prof Luigi Badano
We are thrilled that Prof Luigi Badano will be presenting to VCS.
Prof. Badano’s clinical interests include native and prosthetic valvular heart disease, right ventricular and atrial function, with research interests in three-dimensional and deformation imaging echocardiography, and cardiac mechanics. He has 387 peer-reviewed publications (current Scopus h-index= 85), authored 9 books about echocardiography and cardiovascular imaging.
Prof Badano currently serves both as full Professor of cardiovascular medicine at the University of Milano Bicocca (Milan, Italy), and as director of the integrated cardiovascular diagnosis unit at the Istituto Auxologico Italiano, IRCCS, Milan, Italy.
Prof. Badano served as President of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging from 2010 to 2012. He is an honorary member of the Hungarian, Romanian, and Korean Societies of Cardiology. He is also honorary Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography, the British Society of Echocardiography, and the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging.
Prof. Badano is a member of the Italian Society of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, American College of Cardiology, and the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE). He is also a fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and the American College of Cardiology.
Prof Badano will be discussing 3D Assessment of Right Heart Remodelling in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation On Friday 7th November at the Veterinary Cardiovascular Society 50th Anniversary meeting.
