As a BSAVA affiliate group dedicated to improving animal welfare and clinical knowledge the VCS is proud to jointly fund up to two clinical research grants each year into cardiovascular studies in companion animals. Funding of up to £10,000 is available for projects lasting 1-3 years.
The project must be undertaken within the UK and at least the main applicant should be a member of the Veterinary Cardiovascular Society. The use of experimental animals is not permitted in any work funded by BSAVA PetSavers. This includes work on tissues derived from experimental animals.
Applications for the 2025 round of grants have closed.
Applications are welcomed from veterinary practitioners, academics, as well as joint applications between practice and academia.
