Joint clinical research grants with BSAVA PetSavers

Up to £10,000 over 1–3 years for cardiovascular research in companion animals

The Veterinary Cardiovascular Society is delighted to partner with BSAVA PetSavers to jointly fund clinical research projects in veterinary cardiology. Together, we offer up to two grants per year to support high-quality cardiovascular research in companion animals.

Eligibility

You do not need to be a fully qualified veterinary specialist to apply, but applicants should have a level of veterinary experience appropriate for the proposed project. At least the main applicant must be a current VCS member.

Please note that BSAVA PetSavers does not permit the use of experimental animals — including tissues derived from experimental animals — in any funded work.

How to apply

  1. Complete the application form, including the checklist, names and contact details of three independent reviewers, and truncated CVs for all applicants.
  2. Obtain a letter of support from your head of department or practice principal.
  3. Obtain (or at minimum apply for) ethical approval for your project and provide supporting evidence.
  4. Complete the terms and conditions with signatures from the main applicant (supervisor) and an authorised institutional representative.
  5. Email all documents to pe************@***va.com
